Wiltshire
The not-for-profit charity Life Education Wiltshire reaches nearly 8,000 pupils in 63 schools each year.
The Life Education Wiltshire team consists of Louisa and Becky, our educators, both from primary teaching backgrounds with 35 years teaching experience and the star of the workshops Harold, our happy healthy Giraffe puppet mascot. We are supported by Rotary Volunteers.
Workshops “100% of Wiltshire teachers said the workshops are well delivered”
Our expert educators cover topics including physical health, mental health, drug use, healthy-eating, safe and unsafe relationships, RSE and online safety. Children remember our workshops long after they've left primary school. The following educator led workshops are available in Wiltshire primary schools:
Our NEW Mental Wellbeing workshop supports growing government concerns about how our children's Mental Wellbeing is negatively impacting their education. 'Attendance is one of the biggest challenges facing the school system today, this must be addressed, and the wellbeing of all children is key to this' (DfE).
Our schools frequently comment on the positive support provided by SCARF: 'Ofsted verified the opinion of subject leaders that the PSHE curriculum progression of SCARF/CORAM, prepared the children well for Y6 and beyond. Strong examples of this were seen around RSE and Mental Well-being, which run as a thread throughout the SCARF curriculum.' (Adam Smith, Head teacher - Chilmark and Fonthill Bishop Primary School)
Parent workshops
Parent RSE consultations - we can deliver these with you and also offer training/ support to teachers.
What is SCARF? - We can meet with parents to share how SCARF fits in with your school values and answer any questions.
Bespoke workshops – We can tailor workshops to the needs of your parents and school.
What do the workshops and SCARF cost?
Our prices are extremely competitive and are often much cheaper than our competitors. For example:
-120 pupils on roll, with 4 workshops and SCARF for a year would cost £500.
-Or, 210 on roll, with 7 workshops and SCARF for a year would cost £925.
