SCARF and the Ofsted framework: self-evaluation tool for SCARF schools - updated version mapped to Whole-School SCARF now available

This audit tool guides you through all aspects of PSHE education, including statutory RSHE and Ofsted's expectations for Personal Development which has greater priority within the 2019 Inspection Framework. By using SCARF across your school, you can be sure that you have the best possible resources to support children’s physical and emotional health and wellbeing.

Working through the self-evaluation tool will help you to prepare for an inspection. It will help you to make the best use of SCARF resources and give you peace of mind that as well as providing the highest quality PSHE for your children, you’re also meeting Ofsted’s expectations, with help from the extensive SCARF supporting materials; SCARF is much more than a scheme of work.

We've also created additional guidance that brings together teachers' experiences of recent Ofsted Section 5 inspections and information gathered from presentations by and discussions with Roary Pownall, HMI and curriculum lead for PSHE, RSHE and Citizenship at Ofsted. You can read this additional guidance, here.

You can access and read the self-evaluation tool now, but before you can start completing you'll need to be set up as an editor.  You may already have access but if not then CONTACT US and we'll set this up.

If you're not sure how to proceed, or you want to give other staff editing rights, follow our quick-start guide
