Teaching and learning for rights
RRSA Outcome 8: Children and young people know that their views are taken seriously.*
The Summing up sections of SCARF lesson plans and also the SCARF time activities - where children discuss their ideas, thoughts and feelings about a range of SCARF-led topics - provide opportunities for children and adults to reflect on, explicitly value and celebrate children's views.
RRSA Outcome 9: Children and young people have taken action to claim their rights and promote the rights of others, locally and globally.
There are specific SCARF lesson plans that provide opportunities for children and the whole school community to promote rights, including the rights of others. See the Citizenship section of our Subjects and Issues page for lessons that specifically support this.
