The Kinship Care Resources are free to schools and were co-produced between Coram Life Education, Coram BAAF and the Kinship Care Alliance, to introduce the subject of Kinship care.
The resources are designed to help children understand and explore the concept of kinship care, where a child is looked after by relatives or close family friends, rather than their parents. These age-appropriate resources include language and activities that make the topic accessible and relatable. They aim to nurture empathy and awareness among children, helping them recognise different family structures and the unique experiences of those in kinship care. By promoting inclusivity and understanding, these resources support a positive and supportive classroom environment.
