Coming soon – updated Drugs Education workshops for 9-11 year-olds
Delivered in our 'LifeSpace' environment, or your classroom
Building on our popular drugs education workshops, these updated versions will include looking at the emerging challenge of the growth in vaping, looking at the specific risks associated with unregulated products, now flooding the UK market.
An increasing amount of research shows that classroom-based prevention education, when taught in line with best practice, can have a significant impact across a range of risk behaviours - including drug use.
Reviews of prevention programmes show that they have been associated with positive outcomes in relation to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Studies also show additional benefits, through improvements in mental health and social skills, and reductions in antisocial behaviour.
Efforts to build resilience and critical thinking skills that are a key part of effective drugs education have also been shown to have a positive impact both on risk-taking behaviours and on academic attainment.
Our workshops are designed to incorporate best-practice models and provide children with inspiring, memorable learning, building protective factors at this crucial age, as they approach the transition to secondary school.
Our updated, enhanced drugs education workshops will launch in 2025.
